I saw my favorite band from when I was 13 at Emo’s. I believe it was my 5th time seeing them live. After 7 years of listening to New Found Glory, I gotta say, they’ve still got it! AND they played lots of old hits from their self-titled album and Sticks & Stones which made me love them even more
*Real noisy since I shot at ISO 1600, but I think it works.

Today I missed this lunch/meeting with photographer Michael O’Brien that my former photojournalism/current video storytelling professor invited me to because I had class. Statistics is no fun. Plus I’m still feeling sick.
After school, I went to Jerry’s Artarama to buy more supplies for my drawing class. In 2D Design and Basic Drawing, we only work with black and white/grey mediums (ie graphite, charcoal, ink). I miss colors. And I miss pastels which I’ve used before in art projects back in high school (Currie’s humanities class!)

The first Texas State University Photography Club meeting of the semester was held at Eric Morales’ studio near campus. Studio lighting workshop! It went pretty well and everyone was excited to shoot. This was also the first photo club meeting with me as an officer…however no one called me Vice President Phan as I had hoped (jk.)
My first time shooting a model using real studio lighting.
*Added a slight vignette in Photoshop.

After class today, I went to Mayfield Park by myself to do a drawing assignment and take photos.
The first and last time I tried to go, it didn’t exactly work out so my friend and I went to Mount Bonnell instead. So this was the first time I got to go and the peafowl were everywhere!
Generally aside from cropping/adjusting the curves a bit, I don’t Photoshop my pics much. But I decided to experiment with this pic and added a vignette and brought out the green tones in the peacock’s feathers.
Unrelated: I made spaghetti pie with broccoli soy meat meatballs for dinner and it was amazing!
