Went on a photo adventure. Went to the park. Saw some really amazing
dogs. Ate the Popcorn Tofu Po’boy (it wasn’t as good as I’d hoped.)

I saw my favorite band from when I was 13 at Emo’s. I believe it was my 5th time seeing them live. After 7 years of listening to New Found Glory, I gotta say, they’ve still got it! AND they played lots of old hits from their self-titled album and Sticks & Stones which made me love them even more
*Real noisy since I shot at ISO 1600, but I think it works.

Today I missed this lunch/meeting with photographer Michael O’Brien that my former photojournalism/current video storytelling professor invited me to because I had class. Statistics is no fun. Plus I’m still feeling sick.
After school, I went to Jerry’s Artarama to buy more supplies for my drawing class. In 2D Design and Basic Drawing, we only work with black and white/grey mediums (ie graphite, charcoal, ink). I miss colors. And I miss pastels which I’ve used before in art projects back in high school (Currie’s humanities class!)

After class today, I went to Mayfield Park by myself to do a drawing assignment and take photos.
The first and last time I tried to go, it didn’t exactly work out so my friend and I went to Mount Bonnell instead. So this was the first time I got to go and the peafowl were everywhere!
Generally aside from cropping/adjusting the curves a bit, I don’t Photoshop my pics much. But I decided to experiment with this pic and added a vignette and brought out the green tones in the peacock’s feathers.
Unrelated: I made spaghetti pie with broccoli soy meat meatballs for dinner and it was amazing!

My first concert of 2009, and it was a great one. I saw Welsh band Los Campesinos! with Titus Andronicus at The Parish. They played a bunch of my favs off of Hold On Now Youngster: This Is How You Spell…, You! Me! Dancing!, Broken Heartbeats Sound Like Breakbeats, etc. What a badass show!
